OK! The yard is mowed, the mulch is spread, the kids from Richmond have
arrived for the weekend to fly kites on the DC mall and to see the
cherry
blossoms.

Life is good!

Keee-rist, what a life.

You ought to head to the Soylent Green depot and turn yourself in.

Maybe if you had a decent relationship with your family, you might see
that John's weekend is very nice.

Amen. Some people don't have a family, or a dysfunctional one.

Ahh, the intellectuals have spoken.

We had a great time, but had forgotten how busy the mall would be this time
of year. The National Archives is not normally the busiest place in town,
but the wait to get in was about two hours. The kite flying was
spectacular, although a little healthier breeze may have helped. The cherry
blossoms are nearing their prime, and there was a marathon in DC yesterday
morning.

So, the mall was packed. But, a great time was had be all!

I hope all your lawnmowers started so you could have an enjoyable weekend.

Oh, and my wife is spending her half of the rebate check (if we get one)
to
buy me some new golf clubs!

Life is super good!

How will you spend your weekend?

Sounds good. Sure beats going out in the woods to shoot innocent tree
stumps.

There are a few uppity trees in my woods that could use a lesson if
you want to come up and help out. :)

My lawn is still frozen - nary a green blade to be seen.

Although the maple sap has been really excellant this year - the guy
who collects the sap for the sugar house said he's up 50% this year
from last from my woods. Which means that I'm going to make some
money for the Relay for Life. Plus give away (I think I gave Eisboch
some).

What's the Relay for Life?

You've just reminded me to announce this year's running of the Race for the
Cure. Announcement to follow!

BTW, when is 'stump huntin' season in your neck of the woods?

Think you've got uppity trees??
I was walking the dog in a local park one windy day last week when a 50'
spruce tree snapped off about 18' above ground level and srashed down on the
path about a hundred yards in front of me and about 50 yards behind a lady &
her dog who we had been taking to a few minutes before.
There are still a lot of weakened trees in the park from Hurricane Juan in
Sept 2003.
I reported it to one of the park maintenance guys a few days later & his
advice... stay out of the park when it's windy.. d'oh!
