Windows Vista SP1 Flunks Out At Penn

Just what I've heard, take it for what it's worth. You are correct. If you want it this month, you have to go into update, select it and tell it to upgrade. For most machines, about an hour. SP1 does not fix all issues. It did improve memory management a bit, improvements in network copy performance and disk to disk copy. I think it even fixed a bug or two in mail. But am I happy with Vista? Nope. But not going to double pay for MS for XP either. Testing out some Linux alternatives. |
