....I ever took on the beach in front of the Sheraton Bal Harbour, which,
alas, is no more. It was blown up this past year to make room for...condos.

It was a terrific hotel for many years, great location, great beach,
nice rooms.

Well, the beach is still there, and it lives on, as the screen
background on my Mac:

Yes...those are boats way way way in the background.

I left my wife sunning around the pool at the Sheraton Bal Harbour while
I made a business call. By the time I came back, she had discovered
that the Cabana Boys will bring Pina Coladas right to your lounge, you
don't even have to get up, or even pay for them, all they wanted was a
signature.

She also discovered that pineapples make you very sleepy and will give
you a headache when you wake up.

That's odd.

Pinapples never do that to me. In fact, I'm eating about 25% of a
pineapple as we speak.

You have to soak it in rum to get the headache.

Well if it wasn't the pineapple, it might have been the ice that did it.

What else do they put in pina coladas?

Dunno - had to look it up.

3 oz light rum
3 tbsp coconut cream
3 tbsp crushed pineapples

Put all ingredients into an electric blender with 2 cups of crushed
ice. Blend at a high speed for a short length of time. Strain into a
collins glass and serve with a straw.

Eh...

It could have been the coconut cream or the combination of Coconut cream
and pineapples, it is hard to tell. Then again, ice has caused
freezer brain, so it could have been a delayed effect.

Yep. They would and they did. I think I stayed at that hotel at least 15
times, sometimes twice a year.
