Doesn't mean I can't try. :)

Absolutely. Just keep your wallet in your back pocket.

Since I am sure several people are Googling away about this, I'll save ya'll
some time.
This guy researched the subject extensively.

http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=346815

with regard to the following for distance of human powered records:

1. Bow and Arrow
2. Golf
3. Baseball
4. SlingshotThe results aBow and Arrow: 1410.87 meters = 1,542.95 Yards
Golf : 515 Yards = 515 Yards
Baseball: 734 feet = 244.67 Yards
Slingshot: 100 Yards = 100 Yards

Interesting.

I've lost the original thread - wasn't the idea that I could hit a
golf ball further than Mrs...er...Mr. Duck with a baseball bat than he
could hit a golf ball with a golf club?

Physics be damned. :)
