Earmarks and entitlements. We need to dump entitlements and make people
responsible for their own wants and needs.

Just because you fail to plan for your future shouldn't mean I have to
pay for it.

You claim to be a christian when it suits your purposes.
Whatever happened to 'you are your brothers keeper'?

Ever read the tale of the grasshopper and the ants?

Not to say we should not help them.........but we should not continue to
support them if they are capable of working.

The problem with govt. entitlement programs is that folks get lazy and
depend on them.

No need for anyone to live at poverty levels if they are healthy and able
to work.

Too many fat lazy ass people out there soaking the system we are paying
for.

Edit.

ABC, NBC, Air America, CBS, CNN and CNBC, along with all the
liberal owned
newspapers have been trying their hardest to convince folks we
are in a
recession in their attempt to make one happen.
Glad to see not everyone is buying into their crap.
funny that the secretary of the treasury and the fed
chairman...both
liberal commie radicals appointed by bush...thought the economy
was in
danger of recession as well.
Do you understand the differenence between "in danger of
recession" and "in a recession"? Don't bother to answer as you
obviously don't.

Why don't you explain it to us, Mr. Cement Truck Driver, or
whatever it is you do for a living?
The technical definition is a drop in GNP for two consecutive
quarters. We're close, but not there yet.

I can just hear -barely- the Republicans whining this fall that
"we're not in a recession, everything is fine, the rich are still
rich, and the barely employed and unemployed and homeless don't
matter."
The same thing was going on 8 years ago when Clinton's economy tanked
in his last year.

I don't believe it is going to fly this election cycle.
The Democrat's want to tax us to prosperity, we know how that doesn't
work.

But what ever did happen to the most famous of conservatives stances
on a "balanced budget amendment"?

No.......more like......

"I worked hard for mine while you lived off the tax dollars I
paid............if you are healthy, as you most likely are, get off your
friggin fat ass and get a job."

Folks are tired of paying more and more taxes to support those *who are
able* to support themselves if they got off their fat asses and got a job
(or 2).

Sick.

Even if this were the first time for you to spout this ****, you'd be sick.
This is just the latest.

Get help.

I am not my brother's/son's keeper, he can get off his lazy ass and get
a job and support himself.

You seem to equate Christianity with taking care of all of the needs and
wants of others. That isn't the message. When someone needs help give
them help and when they can help themselves they need to be encouraged
to do so rather than begging from others.

Nice try Krause.

Who did you screw to get that nice chunk of changes when you were
working at Ullico? Seems to me you made a killing in WorldCom. Don't you
remember that's where you got the money to buy the 36' Zimmerman like
Lobsta' boat. What happened to the Lobsta' boat? Have you sold it. Did
you sink it for the money to buy the first Parker?

Curious minds would like to know. I'll be Don is wondering what happened
to the Lobsta' boat too.

"Entitlements" like these:

http://www.progress.org/banneker/cw.html

http://www.corporations.org/welfare/

Pay attention to where your tax dollars are going. It isn't to the
single mom struggling to raise her kids. How about $1 billion to
Walmart? $12 billion to Microsoft? The list goes on. Before I worry
about people struggling, I'd like to see some severe campaign finance
reform. IMHO, that's the problem.

You idiots, and I use the term idiots purposefully, have got to think
before you demonize corporations.

Corporations provide a place for your retirement funds to grow to
support you when you retire.

Corporations contract with other corporations.

Corporations employ individuals, individuals pay taxes.

Individuals buy things from other corporations, those other corporations
employ individuals who pay taxes.

I am glad that corporations exist.

I am glad that the government encourages corporations, via tax relief or
grants, to grow and expand and employ more individuals.

Corporations are good.

Our own little Gordon Gekko...how nice.

It's just wonderful that we grant welfare to corporations so they can
shut down US operations, fire US workers and hire slave labor overseas.

Well Don, has Harry offered you a ride on his Lobsta' boat?
