ROTF!!!!!!!! Good call and funny!

My bad...........I meant to say CRAB.

Regardless.........it was funny! Thanks for the heads up. ;-)

If you knew what crabs ate... :-)

We ate Alaskan king crab claws/legs. Perhaps better than the crab
from your area but realizing they are all bottom feeders.

I like softshell crabs from this area, because you can eat the whole
thing. Never been into the spicy crab banging business of crab eating
so popular around here...lots of work for a little bit of crab meat. I
prefer the Alaskan claws and legs, too.

A crab picking is a social event as much as it is an eating event. If
you had friends you would know that.

Perhaps if I had my prefrontal lobes drilled, I could hang out with a
bunch of swell guys like you and pick.

Us prefrontal lobe drilled guys would most likely reject your overtures
for inclusion in our group. You wouldn't be up to our standards.

I don't believe you can pass HD over S-video cables. You need composite
video or HDMI cables. And even if the program you are watching Says it's
broadcast in HD, Time Warner might not be sending you HD. To be sure you are
getting "all HDTV can be" watch the OTA broadcast for free.

My day was great. I spent some bucks on fishing gear, and my wife
bought me some new "resort" clothes for my trip next week.

I spent the afternoon with Mrs. H shopping for a stand for our new HDTV
as we will be giving our old 36" RCA (1994 vintage) cathode ray and
stand to our daughter since receiving our new 46" Sony HDTV.

The payoff was a great shrimp and crap dinner followed by a movie on the
new TV.

BTW: Time Warner sucks big time as it does not appear to recognize
HDMI. Although the S-Video input works on our box/set the HDMI input
does not, despite swapping out TW HD boxes, HDMI cables and trying
various settings on the new Sony.

Better call the Geek squad.

That is never an option. Between TW and me we will get it squared away.

BTW: The picture using the S-Video connection is pretty impressive!

Direct from Harry Krause:
Been a long, long time since you posted anything useful or original
about boats. What sort of boat do you have, and where, generally, do
you
boat? Got anything on topic to add here?

Let's see what is more fun, chit chating with good friends, as you eat
some really tasty crab, or shotting beer cans off of stumpy.......

JimH, is there a reason you must tell us for at least the third time that
you're giving your 16 year-old TV to your daughter?

We all believe you are a most generous person!

I can't figure out what else he would have done with the TV, a 12 yr old
non digital, standard format TV has no value.

Locally, Cox Cable gives a set of component cables with every HD box it
issues. The HDMI cables, in my case, would not pass the sound. Never could
figure out the problem, even after changing both the cables and the box. I
didn't try changing the TV.
