Obviously, the tax rates need serious adjusting.

Obviously anyone owning a boat larger than Harry's has some ill gotten
gains to account for.

Know what really grinds my gears?

I could buy three of those low transom 21' Parker CC with the capital
gains I paid on the recent real estate transactions.

Three of them.

And my boat is smaller!

~~ mutter ~~ :)

And that's not all. :}

What would you do with 3 LT Parkers? Use them for fishing reefs?

I'd give them away to inexperienced boaters to practice on.

They are nice in small ponds. You might be able to let the Boy Scouts
use them at their summer camps.

Well, look at it this way: If Harry's crowd had had it's way, you'd be
paying one hell of a lot more!

Ah yes..

The Beatles.

One, two, three, four...
Hrmm!
One, two, (one, two, three, four!)

Let me tell you how it will be;
There's one for you, nineteen for me.
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

Should five per cent appear too small,
Be thankful I don't take it all.
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

(if you drive a car, car - I'll tax the street;
(if you try to sit, sit - I'll tax your seat;
(if you get too cold, cold - I'll tax the heat;
(if you take a walk, walk - I'll tax your feet.

Taxman!

'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

Don't ask me what I want it for, (ah-ah, mister Wilson)
If you don't want to pay some more. (ah-ah, mister heath)
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

Now my advice for those who die, (taxman)
Declare the pennies on your eyes. (taxman)
'Cause I'm the taxman,
Yeah, I'm the taxman.

And you're working for no one but me.

Taxman!

I can't agree.

Several people will be fed off those million $ sales.

If it gets the *ahem* "idle rich" to turn loose of the big bucks then
I'm all for it.

If you mean raised? I can't agree.

I thought that spending for goods and services was the way to boost
the economy, not pouring more of it into the bottomless bureaucratic
coffers.
