BTW: How do they "produce" beef cattle in Florida? Publix Supermarkets in Florida carry a wide variety of ethnic foods, and in south Florida, there are all sorts of local food stores catering to various ethnic groups. What I found difficult to find when I lived in Florida were stores selling decent bread. Too many variations of Wonder white bread, which isn't fit for human consumption. Maybe that has changed. |

Eisboch No doubt a lot of cattle are raised down here. But, I think the feeding is not like up in the Midwest, lots of corn. One of the first things I noticed when moving here in the early 90s was the "quality" and variety of meats from what I was used to in Chicago. Marbling in beef, just about non-existent down here. Maybe things have changed in Chicago by now. |
