To freakin' die for. I seem to remember eating that once, though I've only been there for the state fair. The local "delicacy" I always remember hearing about is that Michigan pastie. Just something about that name gets me hungry. Finnish meat pie. Hearty and made with stew beef, potatos, carrots, onions and other goodies. Unreal - just flat out delicious. |

BTW: How do they "produce" beef cattle in Florida? Publix Supermarkets in Florida carry a wide variety of ethnic foods, and in south Florida, there are all sorts of local food stores catering to various ethnic groups. What I found difficult to find when I lived in Florida were stores selling decent bread. Too many variations of Wonder white bread, which isn't fit for human consumption. Maybe that has changed. |

Eisboch No doubt a lot of cattle are raised down here. But, I think the feeding is not like up in the Midwest, lots of corn. One of the first things I noticed when moving here in the early 90s was the "quality" and variety of meats from what I was used to in Chicago. Marbling in beef, just about non-existent down here. Maybe things have changed in Chicago by now. |

We have a combination of those qualities in the White House right now. The same toads that voted for that mindless slob will vote for Romney or Huckabee. You know that. Do you think the 54% has suddenly grown a brain and a sense of patriotism? Of course not. I think the GOP base will get out and vote for its candidate, no matter how incompetent. The Dems will vote en masse for either Hillary or Barack, and so will the majority of independents. Whichever party motivates its base to vote and also captures the majority of Indys wins the White House this fall. |
