Prequel: I'm not trying to start an argument here.

I helped take down my dealer's display at the Boston Covention
Center
today and transfer it to Hartford for the CMTA show this coming
weekend.

I had some down time, so I started talking to the Parker
dealer and
the subject of splash boards came up - I noticed that all the
Parker
boats on display had splash boards on the open transom boats.

When I asked the question, he simply said that in his opinion,
anyone
who doesn't use a spash board is asking for trouble when
backing down
for any particular reason. Not to mention more water in the
boat than
is nececssary in certain sea states.

Straight from the dealer. :)
"The subject of splash boards came up..."

Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck.

It comes up down here, too, and among Parker owners. But for
one in a survey about it, everyone has either removed it, or
ordered their boat without it.
Of course they do.

Oddly, real fishermen, you know like those who play in the North
Atlantic not sheltered bay, keep them on.

Straight from the owners :-)
Maybe one owner.

Other's probably have more sense.

Dear Abby,
Ok, I have this great big hole in my transom, should I put up a
splash boards or let the water rush in the way.

Thanks,
Sinking in the bay.

There you go again.

Reggie is compensating for the fact that he doesn't have the balls
to list any of his possessions for fear he will be subject to the
same crap he flings at everyone else.

Bet on it.

I don't believe the litte sh*t has a boat, either. Never did.

Reggie enjoys keeping you at bay with your dossier and pen at the
ready.

My estimate from looking at my logs is that I see about one in 20 of
reggie's crap drops in this newsgroup and only when someone else
requotes one of his posts. He seems to like writing notes to people
who for the most part don't read them.

But, you read everyone and note the date, time, and your mood before
and after reading them.

Can you spell lithium and Prozac?

For a high school dropout, you are a tad presumptuous.

I read original posts from no more than 10% of the posters here. You and
loogy aren't in the bozo bin for the moment because I feel it is
Christian charity to deal with a small number of nitwits on a regular
basis. You and loogy are my usenet nitwits...for the moment.

Harry, I've got you pegged and have had you pegged for at least five
years. You couldn't live without reading each and every post in this
newsgroup. You have proved time and again that your "Bozo(s) Bin" is an
illusion which you try to use to denigrate those who you do not always
respond to directly.

You couldn't stay away from this news group, meaning not reading or
posting for two weeks, if you did you would wind up in the hospital with
heart problems.

Bertie, I still chuckle from time to time over the five years of your
bragging that you made more money than I did, and lived in a bigger or
better house. Your powers of observation/perception are now greater now
than when you quit high school to run away with the Marines.

Even the Marines didn't seem to have much use for him.

I do earn more money than you do Harry! Do you want to compare tax returns?

I do live in a bigger and better house than you do Harry! You know
exactly where I live and all of the particulars of my house.

No, Bertie, I am not going to share my tax info with you.

I know nothing of the "particulars" of your house, beyond the fact that
yours is located in a small-lot subdivision and that all the setbacks
from the street seem the same. Dullsville. Like you.

At least you didn't say he lived in a tacky, cheap, cookie cutter
subdivision like JimH. I am curious, now that you and JimH are BFF, has
his house improved in value or aesthetics?

My question is why Harry needs to Google Maps everyone's home? Harry
knows that I live in a better house than him. He knows what the assessed
value of my property is and he knows how much the houses in my
neighborhood sell for too.

Think it through, Bertie. I've not seen your house, and have no idea
what it is like on the inside, nor do I know or care about the assessed
value of your house, as if that meant anything. What I do know, though,
is that Gaithersburg is far too "suburban" and crowded for my taste.

You seem to enjoy playing this silly game of yours. Are you compensating
for being a high school dropout?

As he said yesterday (and many times in the past) he seems to place a
very high value on his "possessions". He feels it is important that he
has the best of whatever, this forces him to make up stories about his
wife, his wife's education, his life, his education, his boats ....
etc......

The things I place a high value on are my wife and my children. My toys
are just things I enjoy doing with my family. While my family is
important, I don't need to come to rec.boats to get emotional support on
how great my family is or to plead for "personal congratulations" posts
from people they don't know.

Rec.boats is a mild diversion.
