Just finished Hawke by Ted Bell. If you like Cleve Cussler, you should like
Ted Bell's books. Nautical based also.

"Alex Hawke is suave, sexy, smart, wealthy, and deadly."

Sounds like me.

Just don't under-estimate yourself.

From the website: "Hawke Plot - In today’s world of rogue terrorists
and technological warfare, fighting the enemy isn’t what it used to be.
Enter, dashing, deadly, and devastatingly handsome, Lord Alexander
Hawke: British super-spy, master of warfare, and one the toughest men
you will ever find circling the globe in search of the bad guys."

From Lord Alexander Hawke to rec.boats very own Overlord SWS. Not a
stretch for my imagination. I am honored.

Sadly, they got it wrong.

While I am dashing, deadly, devastatingly handsome and a master of
warfare, I am not British. :)

As you should be.

Carry on. :)

From your picture, I doubt the 2nd, and suave would have the ability to keep
all fingers while using wood tools.

Thanks CB, always looking for a good book. Looks like Bell's got a series
going, and 'Hawke' is the first.

Has Harry read it? If not, you KNOW it's no good.

Was at the library perusing a couple of books to take with me when I took
the boat up to Yuba City for an estimate on repair of a lifting strake.
Took the camper and fished Lake Oroville as the river steelhead fishing was
screwed up from changing water levels. Wife is at a sorority lunch with
classmates at UofHouston till Monday.
