I can't even blame it on the officiating, pro-Seattle that it was. :)

I think you guys got a break on the incomplete pass vs. fumble
challenge deep in Seattle territory. Clearly the QB's *elbow* was
moving into throwing position, but if the determining factor is
whether the throwing hand and football have started moving forward
that was tough to establish from the replay. Unless you're double
jointed, I think it's almost impossible to move your elbow and your
wrist forward simultaneously- (the elbow goes first, then the wrist).
I'm sure some calls that went *for* the Seahawks and looked perfectly
justified to me appeared questionable to 'Skins fans. :-)

Y'all did get robbed on that one spot of the pigskin during that short
yardage run for a first down. I wondered if that was a make-up call
for the controversial ruling on the pass vs. fumble call.

I thought you guys had found the handle in the second half. For a
while, you were dominating the game and took the lead. Your offense
played about as well if not a little better than the Seattle offense.
The probable differences in the game were the Seattle defense, the
crowd noise, and old fashioned bad luck at a couple of critical
moments.

The 'Hawks will need their best game and some lucky breaks to beat the
Packers next week. Anything less, and they will be sitting down after
a decent season.

My comment on the officiating was a joke.

The Redskins shot themselves in the foot. They've been doing it all year,
up until the last few games. Look how many games they've thrown away in the
second half.
