Whatever governmental corruption it has pales in comparison to the military-industrial complex corruption of the United States the last seven years. |

I have hired day workers for helping on my mothers farm, they may or may not have been illegal, I didn't ask for a green card or proof of citizenship. I do know they were very hard workers, very pleasant, and I plan on hiring Rene and his friends again. |

Reading comprehension problem again? Old age hit you. Nope, I worked in a place building pallets and shipping cases during part of my high school years. And part of the employees were Braceros. We need to bring back the program of work permits. Would end the illegal immigration problem immediately. You get without a work permit, we deport you and keep all your stuff you had here. And you never get a work permit. |

Never finished the dime bag I bought from a guy there, because I got transferred out. Pallets can lead to drugs. Those work permit programs are there. The gov doesn't want to enforce them. Cheap labor. The other side is touchy feely. A country without borders and law isn't a country. --Vic |

I recall Lou Dobbs saying the gov has had a zillion programs for decades, including farm labor, but I don't trust him 100%. What I do remember is that back in the '60's and '70's INS was raiding factories in Chicago when they got wind of illegals working there. Mexicans and Poles mostly, from what I remember. It's gonna cost to do that, because you need the enforcement guys. That's another problem, nobody wants to pay. Deadbeats. In the insurance industry one investigator making 60k can save hundreds of k's in bogus claims. Same with the IRS. It's a simple problem to solve on the enforcement end. The human end gets real tricky with divided families and all. ****ing mess. Brought to you by Wall Street, Reagan, Clinton and Bushes'. --Vic |
