I'd bet boats are going for give-away prices on dry LAke LAnier.

Lake Lanier's not dry.

Let's not confuse the issue with facts. Harry was just trying to to
mess with me, but between the drought, the time of the year, and the
mortgage mess, it is a good time to be a buyer, and a terrible time to

There is a place in Buford Ga near Lanier that corries some small
sailboats. But I can't recall the name. It is just north of a dealership
called "Boating Atlanta" on buford hwy.

Boating Atlanta carries some sailboats as well. I would also look down
Holiday Road. Lots of boat dealers (new and used) there.

Wouldn't be Snug Harbor would it? And Buford Hwy, does it run up the
East side of the Lake? or the West side?

I just heard back from my former girlfriend up there who reminded me
of the Marina that has the storage yards I saw. It's Aqualand Marina.
Has quite a few boats in dry storage and has lots of slips as well.
When I was there, the water level was normal. Those slips may be dry
by now I suppose.

I would also look down
Holiday Road. Lots of boat dealers (new and used) there.

It's not Snug harbor, Buford Hwy Runs on the East side of the lake, but
is not on the lake. So these places are not on Lanier, but are pretty
close to it.

Aqualand is a pretty big marina. The Road main to it is McEver. Going
south on McEver just a few miles (going toward Atlanta) it turns into
Peachtree Industrial Blvd. That change is also where Friendship Road
(Traveling West from 985) Turns into Holiday Road. Buford Hwy runs
parallel to Peachtree Industrial about a mile to the east (toward 985)

I would also look down
Holiday Road. Lots of boat dealers (new and used) there.

I put my boat in at Aqualand a lot, because theres a couple of places
up Flowery Branch that I like to hit for spotted bass.

Looking along the lines of a Catalina 22 +/- or similar. Last time I
toured that area (2 yrs ago), I saw a couple boat storage yards with
For Sale signs on quite a few boats. I wasn't shopping then though. I
don't know if I can find those same storage yards again, but I'll try.
Meanwhile, is there an area in particular where I need to look? Or
Brokers I need to put on my shopping list? Or other suggestions?
