Wouldn't be Snug Harbor would it? And Buford Hwy, does it run up the
East side of the Lake? or the West side?

It's not Snug harbor, Buford Hwy Runs on the East side of the lake, but
is not on the lake. So these places are not on Lanier, but are pretty
close to it.

I just heard back from my former girlfriend up there who reminded me
of the Marina that has the storage yards I saw. It's Aqualand Marina.
Has quite a few boats in dry storage and has lots of slips as well.
When I was there, the water level was normal. Those slips may be dry
by now I suppose.

Aqualand is a pretty big marina. The Road main to it is McEver. Going
south on McEver just a few miles (going toward Atlanta) it turns into
Peachtree Industrial Blvd. That change is also where Friendship Road
(Traveling West from 985) Turns into Holiday Road. Buford Hwy runs
parallel to Peachtree Industrial about a mile to the east (toward 985)

I would also look down
Holiday Road. Lots of boat dealers (new and used) there.

Okay, thanks

Rick

Have fun. I have not been over by Lanier in some time. I may have to go
and take a look this weekend.

I put my boat in at Aqualand a lot, because theres a couple of places
up Flowery Branch that I like to hit for spotted bass.

We use to keep our boat on the trailer "Land slip" at Starboard Marina.
We had considered Aqualand but we liked the place we had to park the
boat better at Starboard. ( I wonder if they have any water at Starboard
now)

I really didn't do much fishing on Lanier, mostly day trips with the
family.

Since we got the little place on Hartwell in Gumlog creek I have been
fishing alot more. Dropped about 30 left over Christmas trees under the
dock. So the Crappie fishing is good. Some big largemouths have been
caught as well. But the biggest ones are uasually spotted eating the
crappie.

We started going after stripers this year on the pontoon boat. Bought a
insolated 20 gallon bait tank and have been using herring down by the
dam. We got on at just under 10 lbs and that was a blast. I am thinking
of getting down there this weekend and maybe running down to the dam.

The water level is down about 13ft at Hartwell right now, I was out
there Monday and still have 14ft under the dock. But my 60ft ramp is
getting rather steep :-)

Cheers:

I just got a "heads up" from the boat broker. He says the buyer of
the
Navigator is going to request that he be given free use of my slip for
the
rest of the winter.

'Nother heads up" Marinas usually require a contract review, or
signing when owners change. Proof of liability insurance, and to be
named on the policy. Hope your buyer brings vaseline. Unless you own
the slip, This looks as if it could get messy. Could lose the slip.
Write a separate contract stating that with 30 days notice it will be
returned to you. Notarize, and file at county records. Just MHO Stay
sharp!
Den

We own the slip. It's winter storage use only.

But the water around the harbor will be frozen most likely and could you get
a renter for the time?
