Gene how dare you use facts in this debate. You know global warming
isn't happening because two people have said so, Shortwave and GWB!

Last night I listened to one of the most obnoxious guy on the radio
for less than 5 min. Hannity was carrying on about the global temp
had only increased one degree in the last hundred years. Is there
a base of historical data that both the believers and detractors
can agree upon?

You listen to Sean Hannity? Well, that explains a lot.

He was on the radio when I started my car. He was screaming about
everything, and it was like a car accident, I couldn't turn it off.

Have you ever listened to talk radio?

Only on NPR, never on Faux or any stations that carry Faux feeds.

The only "talk radio" show I listen to with any regularity is the
Diane Rehm Show, which is probably the best talk radio show out there.

I don't think I have ever heard talk radio I would actually plan on
listening, even though Hannity tells everyone all he asks for is "3
hours a day, everyday". I have enjoyed many of the in depth interviews
or subject reviews on NPR, but I only hear it if I happen to be in the
car and I happen to hit the button for NPR. I only listen to NPR, if I
plan on driving for a long time. Normally I don't bother to change the
channel and it stays on the station that provides the best traffic
updates. Last night, I had to change the channel.

Diane Rehm is on in the AM here, and she runs a well-balanced and
controlled adult discussion program, with loonies on the left or right
simply not invited. Actually few of her shows are political in nature,
but when they are, there is really thoughtful discussion.

Speaking of "facts", which one of these two "experts" do you think is
focused on them?

Also, don't you find it interesting that the UN has decided to hold a
climate-change conference in Jakarta during a high in the 18-year tide
cycles?

Indonesian official says flood caused by global warming
Winston-Salem Journal

JAKARTA, Indonesia - Indonesia's environment minister said yesterday that
global warming was the cause of flooding in the capital of Jakarta that
drove thousands of people out of their homes and cut off a highway to the
international airport.

However, flood expert Jan Japp Brinkman said that the authorities had also
ignored warnings about exceptionally high 18-year tide cycles, and had not
repaired a sea barrier breached more than a week ago.

The flooding came as Indonesia prepares to hold a U.N. climate-change
conference Dec. 3-14 to start negotiations on a replacement for the 1997
Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse-gas emissions to expire in 2012.

They definitely do lean to the left, but if you compare them to
Fox, they are Fair and Balanced, but then again compared to Fox, Goebel
was Fair and Balanced.

Compared to some of the characters on Fox, that is true. I find Fox to
present the news in a balanced way. By that I mean both sides are shown,
whereas on NBC only one side is shown.

However, I will admit that NBC had a presentation last night on Iraqis
returning to Iraq from Syria. I was surprised to see it.

I'm pretty sure neither of us ever said global warming wasn't happening, but
don't let that little *fact* get in the way, ok?

Really? Shortwave has repeatedly said right here in this forum that
global warming isn't happening. But don't let that little fact get in
the way.

Where in that article does it state and give data that global warming
