JAKARTA, Indonesia - Indonesia's environment minister said yesterday that
global warming was the cause of flooding in the capital of Jakarta that
drove thousands of people out of their homes and cut off a highway to the
international airport.

However, flood expert Jan Japp Brinkman said that the authorities had
also
ignored warnings about exceptionally high 18-year tide cycles, and had
not
repaired a sea barrier breached more than a week ago.

The flooding came as Indonesia prepares to hold a U.N. climate-change
conference Dec. 3-14 to start negotiations on a replacement for the 1997
Kyoto Protocol on greenhouse-gas emissions to expire in 2012.

isn't happening? And where in that article does it state, again with
data, that global warming isn't caused or at least partially caused by
man?
