~~ mutter - freakin' GD mouse ~~

I was totally bored this afternoon waiting on Mrs. Wave to return from
one of her numerous meetings. So I fired up the FT-1000D and put out
a call.

I hot spotted JA land at the lower end of 20 meters - 14.004.00 MHz.
Had a pile up going and had to work split - up five just to hear
through the noise.

MN must be a very popular prefix - must not be a lot still active
because they were all prefix hunters. Snagged a few Alaskans and a
coupel of Canadians in the NW Terrority. I wasn't even using the beam
either - just the G5 oriented NW/SE.

83 in an hour. My fingers are sore.

Now I have to design and print new QSL cards. :)

But meaningful in a sparse kind of way.

Hey,

I installed the CB sideband transciever that I had in my truck when I went
to Denver in my Ranger.

You wanna see if we can connect from Kingman to your location some time?
I'd have to go look up the freqs again.

We can try it - I'll swing the beam towards your direction.

Let me know when you want to try it.

You might hear me - unlikely I'll hear you though.

My CB handle is Warlord. :)

Ok. But not tonight. It's too cold out there and I am nice and warm here
in the boat.

CW I assume? It's been a while for me, was solid at 25 to 30 at one
time but it would take practice to get back there. I work DX from the
boat every now and then, mostly 20M SSB. When the band is open I can
contact most of what I hear.
