With a full set of Leslie's... Amen brother, amen... Quite an interesting story behind the Leslie speaker/Hammond organ connection. When Don Leslie developed his revolutionary speaker, the owner of Hammond organ wanted nothing to do with it. To him, it destroyed the "sound" the organ. Turns out, the unique tone generator used in Hammond organs (controlled by the drawbars) was a perfect match for the rotating horn of the Leslie. Right now, I am in the market for a Hammond XK3 with the smaller Leslie. I don't have room for a full B3, but the XK3 is a very accurate duplication of the B3 sound. It even has tube pre-amps in it. Eisboch I know where there's a brand new one. Brand new what? Eisboch XB-3M |

Well, maybe "close", but not the same. The one I am looking for ... the XK3 ... is the second generation (the first being the XK1) of modern, digital (and tube) electronics designed to faithfully reproduce the original B3 sound. It's not just the Leslie ... it's also the tone generators, harmonics, etc. Thanks anyway, Eisboch |

I just want the upper, and a new Leslie that is designed for it ... forget the model. Total cost will be about 3k. http://www.hammond-organ.com/Products/XK3-report.htm Eisboch |

Around here, there is a list on the kitchen table with the chores for today circled in red and a threat of an unspecified nature if they aren't completed by the time she gets home. :) |
