I might be buying a new computer sooner than I normally do. Under 11 seconds for CS3 extended just now, with two both my web browers and news reader loaded. Seems fast enough to me for a PC. About 15 secs for CS3 the first time, but when I closed it to try it a second time, it opened in less than 5. Seems like there is a FNP Licensing Service program that takes awhile to check out everything when you first open the software, but it stays running in the background even after shutting Photoshop down. I think I paid about $1300 -$1500 for my off the shelf system about a year ago. I actually upgraded sound card and video card so I really not sure of the final cost, but it was in that range. It was around the same time you upgraded yours, what is the total cost on your custom job. The quick overview: Gateway GM5072 AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.21 GHZ 2.0 GB Ram Just under 2K. and what is the quick overview of the system. It runs just fine. :} |
