This is caused by LOW VOLTAGE being supplied to the unit. One of
two things causes it. Dead battery (due to no charging from the
motor, usually)...or...resistance between the battery and sonar
(corroded connections, too small wire, loose connections).

Hummmm, back to that electrical system... Thank you, I have been
thinking about building a new wiring harness, maybe it's time.
