Big day tomorrow...

Wife and I go down to do the paperwork to unload the Proline and pick up
the 186CC Key West. I've decided to go with the 150hp Yamaha, just 'cause I
want to. 220 hp was the right amount for the 21'er, so I figure 150hp will
do well on the 18'er, especially with a load of grandkids thereon!

That's great, John! Nice boat, too! Post some pictures when you pick
her up. Unfortunately it has a transom so huge volumes of water you
might take on will have to drain normally.

I'm planning to use the 92qt cooler as a bailer. That should do it.

Did you ever decide on what color prop to get?

I'm leaning more and more towards stainless steel with a red and white

pansies.

Did I miss a Herringbrain bon mot? I kept a weather eye out for him on

there weren't many of us "out there," Might have had something to do
with the three foot breaking waves and northerly winds. It was a pretty

Some. I found some breaking fish about two miles south of the marina,
and tossed a tiny Clark's spoon at them. Turned out to be what we
Yankees called "snapper blues." Small bluefish. Nice fighters on my my
little five foot rod and 8# test line (with a 6" light wire leader). Did
catch a nice keeper blue which will be the guest of honor at dinner tonight.

Also caught a skate. I really don't enjoy catching them though they tug
like crazy. They are large and a pain in the ass to release properly.

Had to keep the tabs down while running. You can see their impact
on the boat wake...on the starboard and port side. That bag in the lower
corner...squid...a reliable fish snack food around here.

I was thinking of getting it off my hands for $5K, so I was surprised at
the offer.

sunset.

There's one of 'em!

Don - you missed this:

John John... Go back & read again.
I said you were disrupting the newsgroup... not attacking me directly (this
time).
You're trying your best to cause friction between Harry & Tom. Why not
concentrate on the real troublemakes...such as Dingy Dan?

My goodness. Do you think Harry or Tom are incapable of speaking for
themselves?

When you say 'this time', what do you mean? When was the last time I made a
derogatory comment about you, Don?

Keep in mind that several of us are called 'asshole' by Harry on a daily
basis, including anyone who is 'right' or a Republican.

Did I miss a Herringbrain bon mot? I kept a weather eye out for him on
the Bay yesterday, bouncing around in his new boat, but for some reason
there weren't many of us "out there," Might have had something to do
with the three foot breaking waves and northerly winds. It was a pretty
day, though.

Calm in the marina:

Harry, the boat won't be here for another 4-6 weeks, or longer if I can
help it. Glad to see you're still in Breezy. I may put the new boat there.
Haven't decided yet.

You got out, you lucky *******, give me a double on the ******* part.
I spent my day in my tennants well, first time it ran dry that I know
of, but they were not really impressed with that;) Did you catch any
fishies?

Harry, are you really telling us you could spot breaking fish in the three
footers you were out in? The picture sure doesn't show any three footers.
Are you telling us fibs again, Harry.

Surprising that you haven't taken one picture of a fish to show what a
super fisherman you are!

When 'our John' said...
"Yes, damnit. Now some other a-hole will get to take advantage of it."......
I read it to mean that he accepted that he was an a***** ...... while
complaining that "some other a-hole"..would get use of whatever.
Is that how you read it?

Don, have you ever heard me deny that I was an asshole?

How does your mom like the new seniors' facility she's in? Did she have to
wait a long time for it?

Yeah, they gave me $8800 for it. I didn't feel too badly.

What year was it?

1997.

Perhaps you can arrange a visit to your mom by Herring. Who knows, she
might get a giggle out of an American idiot like our boy John.

On a boat that size there should be no need to keep the tabs down while
running. Something is wrong with your set up.

Naw... he'd give decent, normal Americans a bad name.
