Well in Canada we have minimum wage laws.
Accompanied by mandatory deductions to government on both employer and
employee, for Canada Pension, Employment** Insurance and Workers
Compensation.
Contravene these and there is trouble! If not immediately at income
tax time!
Does not the USA have the same?
Are they enforced?
PS. Right now we have shortages of workers in certain geographic
areas.
