considered thoughts to the readers of rec.boats: Hi guys The Rev Counter on my Bayliner has stopped working. Now i've not yet looked, but does anyone have any ideas to the problem, what to look for or had similar problems themselves. Try this: Purple wire should be the tach power. Black wire will be the ground wire. Gray wire goes to the negative side of the ignition coil. 1st: Check the Black wire to see if you still have a good ground. 2nd: Check the Purple wire for 12V. 3rd: Check the Gray wire for continuity. If everything checks OK.... you probably have a toasted Tach... -- Grady-White Gulfstream, out of Oak Island, NC.
