Get a rubber wheel attachment for a drill from an auto body store. It
will wheel the decal stripes off easily. Set the drill at the lowest
speed that removes the striping. Don't stay in one spot too long or you
can burn the gel coat.

Does this actually disintegrate (erase) the stripes, or peel them?
Seems a bit tricky to not harm the gel coat if the former.

I used it (two actually, and the ones I bought were bright orange) It
worked far better than the heat gun. I had no problem with the gel
coat, I kept the drill boverned down to the slowest speed that still
removed the pin stripes. (my stripes were 15 y.o.


Seems to me that a heat gun on low and a little unscented nail polish
remover would be much simpler and just as quick.

I could have made a career out of the heat gun. The erase wheel just
spun it off. It was similar to the plastic erasers used to take ink off
mylar drawings (for those old enough to remember such things :-) )
