Income taxes. THAT'S what he's talking about. They're illegal
immigrants and they're getting paid under the table which means no
taxes are deducted. And if taxes ARE being deducted the employer is
not paying them to the government. No social security is being
deducted from their checks either.


I don't know if this scam is still common, but what they used to do was
claim 99 dependents so they had no withholding. It takes a few months
before SSA wakes up and sends a letter saying there must be a mistake in the
withholding. So they fill out a new W4 and claim 98 dependents, another few
months before SSA gets around to looking again. Then it's 97 dependents,
sung to the tune of 99 bottles of beer...

The IRS doesn't allow that but most of these guys really do have 5 or
6 dependents so they would get all their tax money back and maybe even
a little more if they could file a 1040. You also pay your SS tax on
the first dollar with no deductions tho. That is really the only tax
burden a guy with four kids making $20,000 a year has. You would get
all your income taxes back.

And that's fine if he's out there busting his ass the legal way.
