Went out for a while this afternoon just to try out some of the new Berkley "GULP" alive baits. It was really too damned hot for me out on the water, with the temp in the low to middle 90s. Anyway, the baits worked. Fake bloodworms and fake shrimp. It's funny - I have a selection of those GULP baits for freshwater and I can't really make them work as advertised. Salt water? WHOA!! Excellent additions for tube and worming and I used the shrimp in Charleston Harbor live lining for specks. They worked very well. I'd like to try the shrimp on redfish sometime - maybe next trip. |
