I have an older OMC I/O with a leak in the transom bellows? Is there a
temporary fix I can use to get me through the season. What's a Guesstimate as to the co$t of replacing? |

I had an omc v6 with a cobra outdrive.
I had a leak develop; and the estimate was 2x what hte boat was worth. basically they have to pull the engine and outdrive out and then replace the seal & put it all back & re-align -- nothing is "rocket science" but it's a lot of labor.... I tried to figure out if I could use some sealant; but realized there's no way to get it around all over -- just can't do it... at least on mine. Good luck.. I know the guy who bought the boat bought a bigger bilge pump & seems to be happy with it -- personally; leaks only get worse, they never get better....
