ok here's a topic that will open a big discussion: why do you go
boating? i've done both powerboating and sailing...helped a friend deliver a sailboat from baltimore to block island...wonderful, wonderful experience and i used to have a 26' cruiser on the chesapeake...enjoyed the feel of the wind, the speed...the ability to explore places 50 miles away and approach them from the water (up the patapsco to baltimore for example). even a little bowrider on the local lakes here in dallas offers a great deal of fun... and, as a ham i've talked to sailboaters all over the world who cruise at 5 kts between the marquesas and san franscisco...enjoying every moment of their trip. so what's your reason for boating? why'd you choose the boat you did? what's your best and worst trip? |
