My 99 Larson has a 4.3GL Volvo Penta engine. I ordered a distributor
cap and rotor from the dealer based on the engine serial number but the parts are all wrong. My engine seems to have a Prestolite distributor on it so Volvo can't help. It is hard to read the model no. on the dist. but it is something like: 1DU Z602. The cap looks like 1BM 1009 but there is no part number on the rotor. Can anyone guess at the correct part no. for this distributor so that I can get the right rotor and cap? None of the dealers have these in stock so bringing in the parts won't help, they just order off computer screens. Thanks! |
