Saildrive 280 / Volvo Penta?

Soliciting opinions from those who have a Saildrive 280. Two users in
my home port are unhappy with them and I'm in need of a wider
perspective before making a repowering decision. As well, there's a guy
in my marina who keeps telling me about a 9hp Volvo Penta saildrive and
I've been all over the Volvo site and see nothing. Anyone?
