boats...nav lights...

confusion

yeah...exactly the issue...

What you are saying, in effect, is that there are so many boats
running around Galveston Bay, at night, without running lights that
the Coasties have to do "special enforcement'?

Unbelievable if it's true.

I bet they feel the same way about floatation devices. ;-)

True story...........the owner of a go fast boat (Bubba) docked on Galveston
Bay wanted to show it off. The boat was fast and had the required gun rack
and beer coolers. It was also one of the first boats equiped with a black
box that recorded everything said on the boat.

Sadly, the boat was found sunk in 30 feet of water just weeks after Bubba
purchased it.

The CG successfully recovered the black box. Last words spoken were
Bubba's: "Hold my beer and watch what I can do". ;-)

Galveston Bay. ROTF!

quite a number...at least 7 spotted off the north jetty at 10 PM last
friday nite...

Are you referring to boats that are fishing while adrift without their
running lights on or boats that are at speed without running lights? The
former is stupid, the latter is insane, and both are illegal.
