Congrats to him.

I'd like to hope the situation in Iraq improves and stabilizes or even
gets resolved before he's eligible to be deployed.

Thank you Chuck.

We will be getting a first hand report on the *actual* conditions there
well before he is slated for deployment to Iraq as 2 of our best friends
sons (US Marines) are soon scheduled for redeployment to Iraq.

Ironic. Your son is starting his duty. Mine, (Eisboch Jr.) was just
discharged yesterday after 4 years and two deployments to the Persian
Gulf.

Life goes on.

Eisboch

Did your son ever mention which of the list of vaporous invasion reasons
he clung to in order to remain sane in Iraq?

I request that folks avoid this troll from further polluting what was an
honorable thread.

Although humorous at times, you are basically a clueless idiot.

Eisbcoh

I thought it was a reasonable question. We were presented with an initial
list of reasons, some of which evaporated and were replaced by others.
You're a smart guy, so it follows that you raised a smart son. I doubt he
went based only on faith.

It's still an honorable thread, and will remain so. But, a neighbor's son
(10th Mountain Division) just returned and although he was glad to have
learned something about another part of the world, he had thoughts about the
war that most here would consider to be heresy. So, there's another side of
it. There is one, you know?

As long as he keeps his head on straight, he'll do fine.

MPs is a good way to go - he'll almost be guarenteed a slot in law
enforcement if he chooses that as a career.

Good luck to him.

It's not a reasonable question and you know it.

And you know why you asked it.

Give it cynicism a rest - it and you are getting boring.
