Simple, it's a port visit without full embarkment. CO probably decided it
was ok. Nothing wrong with that.
If you had a slight clue as to hard a Sailor works, how little they are
paid, and how long they're gone for, you'd understand why something like
this is a huge deal. Probably the only time in their career this will
happen. It will go far in motivating them to a deeper motivation in
serving.

Relax...I grew up in a navy town and still live here.

This is America. We must fight, or at least look for an argument, even if
there is no enemy anywhere. We'll make one.

I must admit I threw the bike issue in just to rev up a couple of the
regulars in here. Looks like I'm getting more than my monies worth.

It is good to see you admit that the only reason you come to rec.boats
and make posts in rec.boats is to "rev up a couple of the regulars in
here". Ok, stand up and say " I am Don, I am a newsgroup Troll". The
first step is to admit your problem.

Sir Reggie, I really don't think Don is a troll, as of to speak. If he
truely isa troll, then he's an extremely mild of a troll, compared to
a couple others in here. Especially considering there is a self
proclaimed, anonimous, "cement expert" , that pops in to rec.boats
quite frequently seemingly to only spew forth wisdom on how everone
else is dumb as a post".

I know nothing about sail boating, and really don't have much desire to
know about sail boating, but if I needed to ask about sailing, I'm
sure Don would be equiped to answer my questions with accuracy and
ligitimacy.

When one admits he is *trying* to cause problems, then he is trolling.
There are, of course, different levels of same.

The reality is, "Reggie" is one of the master trolls of this newsgroup.
Perhaps you are not familiar with his record here, in which he posted
with something like 50 different aliases, and like the others with
nothing to contribute, came by (and still comes by) only to drop off
fresh turds.

In other words, he didn't agree with everything Harry said. Nor did he like
Harry's constant name-calling.

I keep waiting for Tom to drop in and say something to Harry about that.
But, maybe some form of immunity exists for those who can't control
themselves.

Thanks Tim. I was forced to 'black ball' Waylon Smithers last winter when
he showed his true colours regarding a highly respected lady who left here
for new Orleans and was murdered. Anything he says carries less weight than
RG or Dan....
