Default I got a Hobie Pedal-Paddle-Sail Kayak

Hi Paddlers,
This Hobie kayak is great. I've sailed it in 10-20 knot winds --
what a blast. Today I went fishing in it -- the pedal drive frees your
hands -- and found it excellent for fishing. About the only use for the
paddle is to backup or go sideways.
I've owned a number of sea and whitewater kayaks, a sail boat, and
several power boats, but I think that this Hobie is the most versatile
and fun boat I've owned.

Have you had a chance to check top speed under pedal power on
flat water?

Hi Pete and Paddlers,
I'll check speeds with my Garmin GPS and report back.
Turbo fins for the Mirage pedal drive are at the shop and I'll put
them on Monday. These fins are about twice as long as the standard fins
and are quite faster.
Dave, another guy on this newsgroup, got one of these Hobies a month
or two ago. I hope Dave will post some speed test results also.
