By the way, I'll be travelling either on this little boat or a
sistership:

Have a great time Chuck. Cruises are always fun.

Cruises are always fun. That is a matter of opinion. Cruises suck!

You've obviously not been on a Disney Cruise!

Disney Cruise sounds wven worse with all the kids aboard. Wife and I like
to stay in a town longer than 6 hour stop of a cruise. We stopped in
Grand
Cayman on a 16 day Panama Canal cruise. Had a hard time to get her off
the
beach and on to the last tender.

Disney folks do well at keeping the kids entertained, and there are 'adult
only' swimming pools, snack bars, etc. on the ship. The kids don't get in
the way much.

We just get bored of the ship side stuff. We have no problem going to an
area and spending a month. If we like the town, stay longer, of not, leave
early. Have friends that love to cruise. One couple has done like 28
cruises. Gives me nightmares, hte thought of that.

I agree. Perhaps taking a transAtlantic cruise on the QE2 might be
interesting. Or cruising the Greek Isles, which we were fortunate enough
to do. But to take a cruise for the sake of being on a cruise ship?
B-o-r-i-n-g. And taking a cruise on a ship full of someone else's little
rug rats? No thanks.

The QE2 has been sold, and is headed to Dubai to become a floating
hotel.

I saw that. Further evidence the world is on its way to hell.

Nope, couldn't do that many! I'm seriously thinking of a cruise to Alaska,
similar to the one Chuck is taking. Hope he tells us about it when he
returns.

I'm sure if you ask nicely.....................

I'm sure Chuck will provide an autographed copy of the advertorial he
rewrites from the cruise company's press release for his unbiased
journal of boating and commercials. :}

Of course, the purpose of your cruise wouldn't be to spend time with the
kids and grandkids!

Take your kids and grandkids on a cruise. Maybe the nine year-old will get
a charge out of the Greek isles!
