Yep. Orange colored. I normally solder the connection then wrap it in the
tape. I do not boat on salt water so your experience with it may be
different than mine as I have never had a failure.

If at all prone to vibration, I avoid soldering like the plague.

Ive lived by a base phiosophy, that on small, crimp-type, solderless
connectors? They always seem to hold better with a drop of solder in
them...
