Reviews of "This is the Sea" series?

Other people were at least nice enough to ignore it.

Hi... I'm interested in the "This is the Sea" sea-kayak "culture"
series. There are 3 dvds out now. How do they compare? I've seen #3
and really like it. Thanks! JP

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a slang term or "nickname" for people
who canoe/kayak? Canoeist and kayaker sound kinda stuffy. Thanks!

STUPID QUESTION. I wish you would have asked it elsewhere, like in
your own thread. So it would be on topic. And make sense. Sheesh. JP

LOL! OK...Thanks.

Yes, you're right "tall order" is a metaphor itself

Sorry for hijacking the thread. I actually just looked for the first
active thread I could find.

Best,

Oh...Two more things:

This will sound goofy, so please excuse...but is there a kayaking
equivalent to yelling "Bingo!" when something cool happens on the
water?

I teach my sea kayak students to yell "Qajaqpunga!", which Mike Daly
assures me is Greenlandish for "We are kayaking." Otherwise, the choices
are "Whoa, gnarly!" or "What an extraordinary maneuver!"

And is there a metaphorical equivalent to the phrase a "tall order"?

I believe the phrase "tall order" is metaphorical itself. Unless you're
referring to Yao Min at the McDonald's counter.

Why?

You SHOULD have just started your own thread with a query.

It was a senseless crime.

Lame. Why ignore lameness?

I mean, it's no biggie but you kinda wrecked my REAL thread. Again:
stupid. Not a huge stupid but still...
