Choke plates are plastic on the towers. (and I think solid) The throttle butterflys have holes. -W Hey, thanks, guys. I'll pass this along to my Dad. He has the boat down on Johnathon Creek. He says that the engine will start within an hour after having run it for a bit; but, it won't start cold. The folks at the repair shop were clueless (go figure).
