I have an older Trail R Craft 18' trailer, circa 1970's. I'm in dire need to
register it so I can avoid getting ticketed (no fun there!). The darn VIN
tag is gone, and I've scoured the frame for the stamp from the manufacturer
(can't find them on the internet, think they're kaput). Can anyone reliably
tell me where the stamp is to be found on this thing? Thanks for your

Have you checked your local regulations? Where I am it's common in such
situations to register the trailer as homebuilt and have the DMV assign it a
VIN number.
