Nate- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Chuck said it was "likely" that some sort of boating education requirement might be required in MA, and linked a website with the particulars for each state. Turns out that in MA a boater's kids must have education cards before they can operate a boat without direct adult supervision. Most states have some education requirements, and it pays to check them out when inquiring about getting set up with registration, etc, in a new state. |

In any event, boater education cards are not typically considered a license. My note that he would "likely" need a card and a direction to a source to check out the particulars would have informed the OP that depending upon his family situation, certain members of the family will need to qualify for a card before operating a boat. I didn't intend to speak as an authority on Mass. law, simply point out a consideration that might have otherwise been overlooked. |

Not true Chuck. Your research lacks depth. You did score points for brevity,
though. "Chuck Gould" wrote in message oups.com... On Apr 14, 2:38?pm, wrote: I just moved to Mass. a few months ago and bought a used boat for the upcoming season.
