Jack Redington wrote: Not much has changed Dave, some new faces and some old - Nice to see you back. Are you still "Under the Ice" up there ? Looks like the ice will go out any day now. It's gone out as early as March 30 in some years, and as late as April 30th in others. I hate when it's this late because we have the same amount of work to do every spring, just a smaller window to complete it now. This week-end should be the starting point. How are things with you? Things have been going pretty well the last few year. We gave up trailering and picked up a little place on lake Hartwell. (North Georgia)We call it "The Shack" as the house is a old/small double wide trailer that has needed a lot of tlc. It has turned out to be a nice little weekender. The place has deep water which was the main thing we wanted. The hill going to and from the dock is a little steep. But I figure it will keep us "Young and Pretty" In the past few years there have been some low water levels that left some docks that were not move out on the hard. But ours never got less then 20 feet of water under it. I am still running those evil Black Mercs :-) on our pontoon and runabout. But heck they have treated me well it's hard to change. Well good hearing from you and looking foward to reading your posts. Capt Jack R.. |
