Anybody willing to admit to observing any particular superstitions
when boating? You hear all sort of things, from "no bananas allowed aboard", to no whistling allowed, etc. I'm not personally sure I observe any boating superstitions, although there is a fine line between a practical precaution and a superstition. Maybe some of my behavior is superstitious and I don't realize it. BTW, one reason Friday the 13th is considered an "unlucky" day is that it was Friday, October 13, when the King of France ordered the Knights Templar killed and/or arrested to be killed later. (Lesson to be learned, don't be richer than the king when he's trying to wage an expensive war). |
