Default Oar locks for an Avon 12 ft. raft?

Hi, I am a complete raft newbie.

I am going to purchase a used, 12ft. Avon raft in a few moments. I
will primarily use it for fla****er. It looks like a Zodiac, with a
built in wood engine mount and a collapsible wooden floor. The floor
is heavily patched by the side tubes hold air.

Would it be worth it to glue some oarlocks on to this, or can I get
away with sitting on the side and paddling for now?

We may stick a motor on it in the future, but probably not this
summer.

It is an Avon W460, and I'm paying $200 for it.
