Jesus - talk about a glass jaw - he barely touched him.

I think it was fixed. :)

Huh???

That was a solid hit with some pretty light weight gloves.

Look at it again - he barely touched him. The guys head didn't even
move.

The less you deflect from a punch the more you obsorb it's impact. Simple
physics.

I saw a KO.

You lose, I win.

Here is the headline fight...just as short. Local favourite Roger Hollet
beat a 6' 6" Montreal fighter for the heavyweight belt.
Keep watching the clip...after the fight, sharp eyed Canadian fans of the
'Trailer Park Boys' will see Julien and Bubbles in the crowd.

Look at it again - he barely touched him. The guys head didn't even
move. His arm was fully extended by the time he hit him - all the
power of the punch was already expended. It was almost accidental.

And the way they were both just throwing punches it was probably more
accidental than anything.

Glass jaw - pure and simple.

Yes, they were both throwing wild punches...........but one obviously was
dead on and resulted in a KO.

I boxed in my early days with boxing (much heavier and more padded) gloves.
......that hit would not have been a KO but you would have felt it. With
those light weight (non existent) gloves it is a new game.

Could you survive a bare knuckle hit like that from a guy with that weight?
I doubt it but if you did you would be seeing stars and set up for a final
KO punch.

I'm sure you are an expert on the subject.

I'll bow to your expertise.

I've never boxed in anything organized (street fighting was popular in my
neighbourhood), but I've heard the 'colour commentators' say that maxium
force is applied with that snap just as you reach the end of the swing arc.
That's how those tall lanky guys like Tommy 'the Hit man' Hearnes did so
well. They could knock you out before you could even reach them.

Guys head did move, but still a glass jaw.- Hide quoted text -

More ignorance! Lack of movement shows that he was coming IN when he
was hit, hence compounding the punch. Furthermore, lack of deflection
tells you he got POUNDED, opposite from what you think. Head movement
would have probably saved his ass. You never waste your blows on
someone who is moving back, you wait until they lunge forward, then
you basically only have to put your fist, chop, elbow, knee, foot into
the path.
