I didn't say anything 'bad' about Tim..... as a matter of fact he
seemed to get a kick out of my post *to you*.
Where's *your* contribution, Don? They take loonies, too.
What use would they have for you?
Try reading the thread again, Don. I thought you were smarter than
that.
You try reading again... I had no such expectations for
you...................
Let's try this again. Where's your contribution to John's daughter's
charity?

None of your f*cking business asshole!

Nice answer. Maybe you will be able to afford a $5.00 donation next year
if you save your pennies. At least you learned where not to ask for help
if one of your family members is inflicted with a horrible disease.

Nice going JohnH. I hope this is the last year you bring your charity
donation requests to this boating NG.

Dan, I never asked for a donation here for my wife's terrible disease. I
also never asked for donations when my daughter suffered through a terrible
illness last year or when I suffered through the loss of my leg earlier this
year. While the Susan Komen/Race for the Cure fund is an honorable one (and
one that I support and contribute to) and am sorry that John's daughter
suffers from breast cancer............his annual request for donations here
is over the top. Folks can decide on their own on how and to whom their
charity contributions go to.

The fact that John's site listed the names of the donors and amount they
contributed was also beyond bad taste. If one decided to contribute to his
cause it should not become public information.

I applaud you for your donation to a great cause...........just don't use it
to push others into contributing. Keep in mind also that Don and his wife
are housing and caring for his elderly mother, a cause more extraordinary
than your $250 donation.

Now give it up already.

Are you inferring that your contribution to that cause made you special
in any way? And why are you using your contribution as leverage in a
discussion having nothing to do with it?

This is the exact reason why one should not ask for contributions on this
board.....................the largest contributor may try to use it as
leverage.

Shame on you Dan.

Am am inferring nothing, Jim.

What contribution? My bet is that John will make the largest since he is
matching any from this group. How does any contribution convert to
"leverage" involving discussions here?

Because you and Don White have started a bunch of crap you blame me? Last
year it was you who started the crap. This year it was Don, with you piling
on. Is an announcement about the Race for the Cure any worse than
announcements about Don's mother's health or your back?

I've no idea what started you two off, but it must be hell living with it.

Your last sentence says it all but you have to remember that without the
opportunity to donate, many won't. John posted one message and offered
to match donations. No one else was pressured into anything. Forget
the Don White thing - that's really a different matter.

The fact that John's site listed the names of the donors and amount they

It's not John's site. He has no control over that. People could donate
anonymously but the drawback to that would be the emailed "receipt"
for tax purposes.

I applaud you for your donation to a great cause...........just don't use it

This is not the place to go begging for money old man............but we have
come to expect it from you every year as you have no class.

This isn't the place to go begging for money, you are correct. But,
John didn't beg. Now, would you say that this IS the place for someone
to tell lies about someone, tell hideous untrue, allegations about
someone's wife and even go so low and scum like to tell lies and
allegations about someone's grade school children? You done all of
that and more, and the terrible thing about it, is you aren't even man
enough to see why that is truly distasteful, low life, and over the
top.
