Gentlemen, pu-lease!
I made a contribution, yes. and felt good about it. I did see humor in Don Whites post, and thought it was cute. then another came along which did some seemingly typical gouging. Then from there on out, things went down hill really quick. Hey guys, I've donated before, and will do so again, and I'm deffinately not the only one. I'm not the largest doner, nor probably the smallest, but I give what I can to many causes I feel deemed worthy, and I'm not seeking a special star for it . All is well here, so is this slinging in this thread really that necessary? Thanks for the consideration. |

Good point Jim...up here, if you want to donate to cancer research, the Terry Fox 'Marathon of Hope' is the place to go. This guy , a national hero, ran half way across Canada on one leg and only stopped when the cancer returned and claimed his life. Another advantage , if donating anything sizeable, is a return of approx 24% of your donation on your next income tax return. John's is a good cause... but if we needed to be subjected to an annual arm twisting, we could all go watch PBS. http://www.cbc.ca/greatest/top_ten/n...fox-terry.html http://www.collectionscanada.ca/2/6/h6-214-e.html |
