Isn't it close to the spring thaw back there?

Sure as hell isn't close here.

Still six inches of ice on the lake.

~~ mutter ~~

Although, according to the weather bozos, we're supposed to be in the
high 50's during the day and low 30's at night for the foreseeable
future.

Bye bye ice.

I hope.

And my maple trees are starting to produce as well. Should get three
or four gallons of syrup this year for our own use and about 30
gallons over all.

Probably not the same quality as last year, but ya' takes what 'cha
can get 'ya know?

If it stays nice to Sunday, off comes the boat cover.

Which means it will snow again.

Can't win.

Shut Up. Because it was a nice day and the wife went to Sacramento with
girlfriends, I got a day off as chauffer. (wife has right foot in a cast).
So went out to Mossdale Landing near Tracy and paid $3 for parking and $6
for bait, and burned some amount of gas. and missed the only good striper
run I had. some babies all nibbling in the anchovies. cost money, these
nice days.

What? Are you kidding? It's gonna be 87, yes... that's 87 degrees
here on Sunday. The wife and I will be burning some expensive boat
gas.

Snow? What's that?

Oh... Send some of that ice down our way. We need it for the cooler.

:-)

I think we've turned the corner, so hopefully you'll have nice weather
when you're here. Sometimes spring only seems to last a couple of
weeks and then it's hot. That's our payback for the mild winters.
