If you're in fresh water don't worry about it. If you're in salt water you
should know that marine engines do actually have stainless steel head gaskets instead of regular ones. I guess I'd be a bit on the fence. You flush it after use in salt water and it probably won't matter. If you're leaving it in salt water in a slip then you probably should replace the head gaskets. If you do that then I'd just go ahead and get a full marine gasket set and change the cam too since the ss head gaskets are a big piece of the cost of a marine gasket set.
