midmorning tomorrow and temperatures falling to single digits overnight.

This storm is a huge one, south to Florida and north to the NE states.

How are things by you?

By the time that storm hits us along the coast tomorrow, we'll get some
snow but then it's expected to turn to rain. Fairly high winds expected.

There are 3 to 5 foot drifts everywhere. Everything is shut down.

This storm had to have dumped another foot or so of snow on folks in the
Rochester and Buffalo New York area, with those areas already having 10+
feet of snow on the ground.

Drifts? Ha. What about straight-down snow?

Behold, the iceman cometh.

Started off as rain last night and this morning,t hen turned to
sleet/
rain/ice/ mix, then ice, then more ice, then wind and snow. didn't
get
much ground coverage, but the ground is convered with ice mush, and
the hwy. dept can't keep up. the plows just shave off a layer, and
thats about it. Pretty slick out in the streets.

So far, we've had some light rain which has frozen on the ground. The
feds sent home their employees at 2 PM today so they could avoid icy
roads.

We're supposed to have "frain"* through tomorrow afternoon.

* Sonny Eliot reference.
Wife is saying it is chilly again. Dropped from 60's to the 50's. But
supposed to be 70's by Thursday.

Yeah, I'm heading for Florida this weekend. 70s-80s.

Glad to see that someone is taking control of his environment instead of
sitting around bitchin about the weather.

There's little better in February than visiting south Florida. Unless you
can get to where it is warmer! :}

The traffic sucks though this time of year. The restaurants are full, and
everybody brings their colds down with them making us sick. Business is
very good however. May and October are my favorite months.

BTW--temps this weekend are supposed to be lows in the mid-40's and highs in
the 60's. I'll be wearing jeans, sweatshirt, and a jacket when I go fishing
on Sunday.

West side of Puerto Rico. No glitz, no nothing. Just beach. Temps between 82
and 90, nice breeze. Do a google search on a town called Rincon. It's a
quiet little haven for American surfers.

Been to PR twice. Enjoyed it both times. Never been to Rincon, though.
Thanks.

I'll be at the boat show Sunday or Monday and out fishing Sunday or
Monday. I'll be wearing shorts and a tee-shirt.

If someone you know needs to shop, or goes nuts without "things to do",
forget this place. There's nothing. Nada. Just beach.
